MRI is the most advanced technology available for diagnostic imaging and has many advantages over other imaging modalities. MRI does not utilize ionizing radiation to produce images, and in many cases replaces other diagnostic procedures while providing outstanding image quality and detail in medical imaging. MRI is outstanding in the visualization of soft tissue structures and has the ability to acquire images directly and display anatomy in any anatomical plane. MRI is able to visualize structures and organs in the body that were previously more difficult to visualize utilizing other imaging modalities.
